On her newest single, singer and actress Juliette Lewis leaves the grungy growl of her 2009 solo debut, Terra Incognita, behind in favor of clean, punchy pop and funk heavy bass lines. I’d be sort of tempted to dismiss the stylistic pivot as a cheap attempt to cash in on the musical zeitgeist, but she just does it too damn well.
