INTERVIEW // illuminati hotties

Posted on Nov 3, 2018By Misha

As you may know, there’s a very important election coming up. No pressure but the outcome could literally steer us into or away from the the brink of nationalism. No pressure. In honor of the occasion we asked Sarah Tudzin of illuminati hotties what she will be doing to celebrate after we flip the damn House.

Imagine that it’s November 7th. We’ve all voted and the House is flipped. (Maybe even the Senate but I don’t want to jinx anything) Beto and Stacey Abrams won. Millions of people in Florida had their voting rights restored. For the first time in two years we can at least go to sleep without the fear of losing our healthcare by the morning. (Don’t get me wrong, there’s still literal years of hard work ahead of us but for just one day we can take a breath because for one single day this year we all collectively got our shit together and the worst possible thing did not happen.)

In celebration, you’re designing your perfect day. No rules, it can be anywhere, doing anything, with anyone. You’re feeling good, full of energy, but maybe also in need of a little self care —

When do you wake up?

Hell yessss the House is flipped?! I’m bright eyed and bushy tailed at 8:30am but I’m snugglin til about 9:30am before I get too hungry to stay put.

What’s the first thing you do when you get out of bed?

The first thing I’ve GOT to do is snag a celebratory breakfast burrito and a coffee. Well I mean the FIRST first thing is brush my teeth (dental health is crucial) and slide into some jeans n sunglasses of course

What city are you in?

LA baby. With the glow of last night’s gig rippage radiating from my pores.

What’s the soundtrack?

A playlist of music curated by and featuring all my best friends and favorite local bands. Also, Stevie’s Songs in The Key Of Life.

What are you reading?

I’ll be about to wrap up Slouching Toward Bethlehem by Joan Didion right around 11/7 and sporting the most well-loved looking poetry book that I can find in a used book section

Do you go out or stay around the house?

Definitely going out and copping some UV near Echo Park Lake or maybe even up in Malibu if I’m feeling ambitious

What’s for lunch?

Well I guess I’ve already exhausted my burrito options for breakfast soooo I probably will try and stay healthy with some smoothie action for lunch

Who do you meet up with during the day?

As long as I’m in LA I’d love to get a little crew of good friends together, maybe bring along a bonafide QTPi to whisper secrets to, and will definitely invite the band because we don’t know how to Not be around each other anymore.

They ask if you want to go on a hike, to a poetry reading, an escape room, or a museum of your choice. What do you pick?

I’m feeling a hike! Let’s head up to Angeles forest with a cooler full o PBR & sandwich fixins

Do you play a show that night or nah?

Secret house show. DM for addy.

If so, what venue?

2301 N Highland Ave, Los Angeles, CA 90068

If nah, what’s your nighttime plans?

In the case that the gig gets shutdown, and we’re not totally exhausted, we’re having a bonfire at the beach!

You’re about to fall asleep, what’s the very last thing you do on your perfect day?

Kiss my frenemies goodnight & fire up season 1 of Arrested Development all over again.

Please please please go vote on Tuesday (or this weekend if your state has early voting). Vote like a bunch of people’s lives depend on it, because they do.
