Hard to overemphasize how quickly The Beths became my new favorite thing. Future Me Hates Me had me hooked from the opening bars of Great No One and I devoured the album without interruption during my lunch break at work. I try to avoid proselytizing bands to my friends because I figure that if they want to hear my opinions about music they can visit the website I made specifically for that purpose – but I made an exception for The Beths. The weekend after hearing Future Me Hates Me I went to a party where you could find me, towards the end of the night, physically taking people’s phones and saving the album to their Spotify collections. 

In that spirit, we are thrilled to premiere this live version of “Whatever” from The Beths’ very first US performance at a DIY space in Los Angeles called Weber Rations. It’s sweaty and fun and should make you *very* excited to see them live. For now the band is only touring Europe (dates here) – but they will be making an appearance at SXSW in 2019. Get there.
